JET Vedic University was established in 1984 by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji in a serene environment on the Southern banks of sacred river Krishna in Sitanagaram, Guntur district. The Vedic School started with 70 students where Sukla Yajur Veda, Krushna Yajur Veda, Rug Veda, Attharva Veda were taught to students. Later Aagama subject was also introduced to them. The school started with a humble beginning – with just two sheds. A prayer hall, quarters, a kitchen, a library etc., were constructed over a period of years with the support of generous donors. So far, more than 8 batches of students completed Vedam and are now serving as Vedic pundits and priests in various temples across the world. Upto 1000+ students were issued certificates from this institution.
